President Obama's principle cyber security advisor, sometimes referred to as the "cyber czar," Howard Schmidt is scheduled to join the press conference at the National Press Club next Monday, March 5.
Schmidt is slated to announce the third publication in the Internet Security Alliance's financial cyber risk management series, "The Financial Impact of Breached Protected Health Information: A Business Case for enhanced PHI Security".
As with the previous two publications, "50 Questions Every CFO Should Be Asking About Cyber Security" and "The Financial Management of Cyber Risk" this newest publication was produced by ISA in conjunction with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). For this effort we were also joined by the Sante Fe Group.
The six month process included collaboration with over 100 health care experts. Ed Stoll of ISA Sponsor DCR, has been the driving force behind the current effort.
For the moment Mr. Schmidt will be listed as "invited" in case a late breaking White House requirement takes him away from our news conference, however we have received confirmation from the White House that the news conference is currently on his schedule.
